Osaka has been givin the age old name of 'Japan's Kitchen'. Why is this you ask? Well in fact, Osaka has some of the most diverse and expansive selection of public dining in Japan. Some of its famous delacacies include the king of street food, Takoyaki! Another popular delicacy is Okonomiyaki, which is usually described as a savory panckake piled with cooked ingredients such as cabbage, seafood, pickled ginger, and many others. It is usually topped with mayonnaise. How can you go wrong with that!
Oh the Travel Posibilities!
Osaka happens to be in the middle of some of the most popular travel locations in Japan! From Osaka, you can take an hour train ride to famous locations such as Kyoto, Nara, and Kobe. Kyoto, stock full of beautifil and ancient shrines, like the Mizu-dera shrine, is the perfect day trip. Nara is home to the oldest temple made solely of wood in the world, beautifully situated in the center of a public park full of friendly deer. To the west of Osaka lies Kobe, so abtly named like its famous dish, Kobe beef, the most expensive beef in Japan. So if you feel like you've traveled all that Osaka has to offer, simply take the train a few miles away to explore more!
